My work explores the relationships between objects, sites and actions. Often working with familiar or domestic materials  I manipulates a process of enquiry until the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

I use video, installation, drawing, text and action to investigate issues such as work, landscape and gender. My work is about process, and through action research brings to life specific sites and heightens the experience of the viewer.

My work has taken me to explore the poetry of an Australian horse wash, the memory of Baltic coastal landscape, and theatre of the English joke shop.

My work is about response and suggestion, reflecting on a given site, context or audience. I work with history, imagination, the playful and the violent. My texts and images  abstract the viewer’s reality to suggest slippages in place, time and action.

The in-progress notebook (blog) shows excerpts of sketchbooks, ideas, and things I am thinking about, and is updated pretty often.
