Commissioned for The Swiss Art Fair / Liste ’99. Basel. 1999
In response to the invitation to make a performance at the Art Fair Dyson chose to ‘show off’ by tap dancing for the nine hours of the exhibition’s opening event. Unskilled and untrained Dyson made up steps. She wore a hired, tatty and ill-fitting costume. Her stage was a table. Her steps were amplified by contact microphones in the table, so that the sound of her dancingresonated throughout the exhibition hall.
