Marie-Gabrielle Rotie

I worked with Marie-Gabrielle Rotie on three occasions:

Firstly, in a workshop at the Poplar Union, July 2021; later at her one home in Cambridgeshire in August, and more recently at Chisenhale Dance Space, January ’22.

Marie- Gabrielle is one of the UK’s leading experts on Butoh and took me through a process of practical experimentation and play to align my own thinking and ideas with the historic dance theatre form.
